DESCRIPTION:In response to recent reports regarding a robbery\, gun shot fired and assaults in Allendale\, the Chamber of Commerce is convening a Community Conversation to talk about public safety and law enforcement coverage in the Township. \n\n\n\nOttawa County Sheriff-elect Steve Kempker\, Ottawa County Detective Captain Mark Bennett\, Allendale Community Police Officer Sergeant Chris Dill and Grand Valley State University Police Department Officers will share information about community safety\, how the departments work together and future plans to address growth. We will also talk about the role media and social media plays in understanding what actually happens when a police report is filed or someone calls 911. \n\n\n\nWe want everyone to feel safe and an important part of that is having good information directly from the source. We want to hear your questions and concerns and provide you with as much education and information as possible.

LOCATION:The Community Conversation will be held on Thursday\, October 20 from 6:30pm 7:30pm at Love Inc.'s new offices located at 6633 Lake Michigan Drive.
