DESCRIPTION:Come hear from Bridgett Tubbs-Carlon\, AppleTree Early Care and Preschool founder\, about her story of growth\, overcoming adversities\, and balancing life & work. \n\n\n\nBridgett independently owns and operates five locations Grandville\, Hudsonville\, Knapp Corner\, Monroe Avenue\, and Walker. She and her deceased husband\, Doug (1951 2007)\, opened their first location on Monroe Avenue in 1998 with the dream of creating a premier child care and early education center that was a safe\, nurturing environment for their daughter\, Anna\, to grow\, learn\, and thrive. Through the years AppleTree has received many accolades as an exemplary preschool and early education center.\n\n\n\nAppleTree has created over 500 jobs and served over 20\,000 children over the past 16 years. Eleven AppleTree schools are located in West Michigan\, Otsego\, and East Lansing. Poised for national growth\, Bridgett and her corporate partners introduced a new brand called Gilden Woods Early Care and Preschool. Using AppleTree as its foundation\, four Gilden Woods schools are now open in Grand Rapids\, Holland\, Portage\, and Kalamazoo - with more opening in 2015. \n\n\n\nThrough life's adversities\, Bridgett persevered with tenacity and drive to obtain her college degree with high honors\, while working several part-time jobs and starting a new company. She successfully navigated many challenging obstacles and stayed committed to moving her company forward through passionate leadership. She is excited to watch the business and its employees grow as they expand into additional communities to serve new families.\n\n\n\nTable sponsorship is available for $30 (includes the cost of the host's lunch)\n\nSeating is limited to first 90 registrants\, so sign up today!! Connected Chamber Women is a blend of chambers to meet the challenges business women share\, Our mission statement is designed to encompass all facets of being women.
