DESCRIPTION:The annual Native Plant Sale is presented by the Ottawa Conservation District and will be held from 2:00 - 6:00 pm\, Wednesday\, May 8 at Hemlock Crossing. This year\, the organization is offering for sale 68 varieties of native plants. The Ottawa Conservation District provides the 2019 Native Plant Catalog on its website www.ottawacd.org. The catalog provides important information about each species of plant offered\, including common and scientific names\, making it easier to look up additional information about the plants. Buyers can browse the sale by plant height\, color\, bloom time\, soil moisture and type\, wetland indicator\, and sun exposure. Buyers may place their order on the Conservation District's website. Online ordering and payment is available\, or buyers may choose to download an order form and mail in their order. The order deadline is Monday\, April 29. Orders will be available for pick-up from 2:00 - 6:00 pm\, Wednesday\, May 8 at Hemlock Crossing in West Olive. Additional tree seedlings will also be available for sale while supplies last.
