DESCRIPTION:Four Ways to Argue Effectively\n\nPresented by Kathey Batey owner of Spirited Presentations  \n\n\n\nWe will explore our own style of handling conflict and how to recognize conflict styles in others. Concentration on identifying the real issue in conflict\, and four ways to argue effectively\, including training on how to separate the problem from the person\, creative positioning\, long-term relationship thinking\, and the power of our word use.\n\n\n\nFor individuals to have a non-threatening environment to learn\, laugh and discover how to handle conflict better. Explore techniques that teach us to disagree effectively so no one gets hurt.\n\n\n\nKathey Batey is a corporate trainer of compassion in the workplace. She trains on conflict communication\, mediation in the workplace\, how to help children as you go through a divorce and other real life topics. She was trained by the National Speakers Association\, received her Bachelors in Psychology\, focusing her Master's work on group therapy. She has been facilitating groups for ten years. She is a certified mediator with the state of Michigan\, and a facilitator in Restorative Justice. She holds workshops and has her own radio program- Redesigning Your Life. She has worked with hundreds of individuals going through life transitions such as divorce\, death\, empty nest\, job loss and other life transitions. She has 25 years experience in the corporate world. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe mission of Connected Chamber Women is to create connections between West Michigan chambers. CCW meeting quarterly for women to enhance their business and professional relationship with opportunities to Laugh - lighten our load\, Learn - information to solve business problems and Lavish - encouragement in celebrating success with each other.
