Learn from Kip Thorne, Ph.D., an Einstein medal-winning theoretical physicist whose research focused on Einstein's general theory of relativity and on astrophysics. His current research is on the nonlinear dynamics of curbed space-time. Thorne consulted on the movie Contact. He also served as an advisor and executive producer for Christopher Nolan's movie, Interstellar. Together, Thorne and Lynda Obst co-authored the science behind the film. Thorne wrote The Science of Interstellar, which explains how the film's spectacular events and visuals are grounded in science. Lecture followed by book signing and reception.
