The Auto Industry: Challenges & Opportunities

"The auto industry, an important part of the West Michigan economy, has roared back after the Great Recession. But the industry is in flux, impacted by tough fuel economy regulations, new technology such as autonomous vehicles, and a geographic shift to the southern states. All of this provides both challenges and opportunities for the Lakeshore area." Mr. Cuneo has spent over 30 years in the industry as a Toyota executive, Board member of two major auto suppliers, and a leading industry think tank, a site selection consultant, and adviser to Silicon Valley Companies.
